The Colored Musicians Club’’s very own George Scott, Danny Williams, and Craig Steger will present a lecture as part of the Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor’s Black History Month Series.

The Preserving, Presenting, and Promoting the Legacy of African American Music in Buffalo Since 1917 lecture will provide an in-depth look at the history of the Colored Musicians Club and Local 533 during the Jazz Age and beyond.

Sunday Night Jazz Series Featuring Jay/Sharptet

For our February Sunday Night Jazz Series, the Colored Musicians Club is excited to welcome Jay/Sharptet featuring Jacob Jay (Trumpet), Dalton Sharp (Sax, Vocals), Nate Kalnitz (Bass) and Abdul-Rahman Qadir (Drums).

The Jay/Sharptet enjoys performing music with a focus on original compositions and arrangements. Inspired by ensembles such as the great Miles Davis Quintets they strive to approach every tune with a unique interpretation. Tickets are $20 for members ($25 for non-members) and available to purchase at the door.
